On July 24th 2009, the doors were opened to a new, fun, exciting place to meet in the Brunswick Basin of Grass Valley. In an effort to bring Culture Shock Yogurt to more customers, another shop was opening in Auburn in June of 2011. A third shop will be opening late in 2020 at the intersection of Wolf and Combie Road in the brand new Higgins Marketplace. With 90+ toppings in each shop, Culture Shock Yogurt is a completely self-serve frozen yogurt shop. We welcome you into our shop for a healthy snack or a decadent dessert!
Because community involvement is very important to us, we willingly donate to local fundraisers and events. We also sell pre-packaged yogurt in high schools across the Nevada, Placer, and Bay Area Counties, as well as at local gatherings. We feel that supporting the communities that have so warmly welcomed us is an integral part of Culture Shock Yogurt’s success and popularity.
Janna and Reed Schreiter took over Culture Shock Yogurt in October of 2019. With the emergence of COVID-19, it has been difficult to manage but they are committed to continue selling the excellent product that Bobbi Giudicelli was so passionate about. For the Schreiters, the running of this business is a family affair. Both daughters work in the shops, occasionally accompanied by their youngest son. The eldest daughter is currently attending Sierra College, while the younger daughter and son are students of Nevada Union High School.
